Peningkatan penghijauan di lingkungan sekolah dapat memberikan dampak signifikan pada kesejahteraan siswa, guru, dan masyarakat sekitar. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan program penghijauan yang melibatkan guru dan karyawan di SD Santa Maria Fatima sebagai upaya meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan dan menciptakan ekosistem pendidikan yang berkelanjutan. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif, program ini memanfaatkan ruang terbuka sekolah untuk menciptakan area hijau yang berfungsi sebagai laboratorium pembelajaran berbasis lingkungan. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa penghijauan sekolah dapat meningkatkan kualitas udara, estetika lingkungan, dan kesadaran ekologis komunitas sekolah.
