Siswa Menulis Tugas Berita Dengan Menjawab 5W 1H Di Kelas Jurnalistik

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana siswa jurnalistik menerapkan penggunaan 5w 1h dalam menulis teks berita mereka. Penelitian in merupakan penelitian qualitative. Partisipan dari penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa jurnalistik tahun ajaran 2020. Sumber data dari penelitian ini adalah teks berita ujian semester mahasiswa jurnalistik tahun ajaran 2020. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara menganalisis teks ujian siswa satu persatu menggunakan instrument ceklis dokumen. Ada enam penggunaan yang di lihat yaitu apa, siapa, dimana, kapan, mengapa dan bagaimana. Temuan menunjukan bahwa dari delapan teks berita ujian semester yang ditulis siswa hanya ada dua orang yang menggunakan seluruh unsur 5w 1h. sedangkan enam orang lainnya tidak menggunakan seluruh elemen 5w 1h dalam penulisan berita mereka, yang mana empat diantara nya tidak menggunakan how, satu orang tidak menggunakan why dan how dan satu orang lagi tidak menggunakan who, why dan how. Data mengungkapkan alasan enam orang yang tidak lengkap ini karena penulisan ide berita mereka tidak berfokus pada satu peristiwa saja, namun ada dua atau tiga peristiwa yang mereka sebutkan di dalam teks berita mereka. Siswa siswa ini tidak memulai berita dengan informasi yang penting terlebih dahulu namun membahas hal di luar topic berita seperti perasaan mereka saat akhir tahun, rencana liburan akhir tahun, persiapan menyambut libur akhir tahun. Sehingga bahasan dalam berita nya tidak focus dan mengakibatkan unsur unsur 5w 1h nya jadi tidak terperhatikan lagi.
